節句：建築の仕事で暦に関わることも多いですが、古くからある季節の節目やその起源については意外と”そういう風に育ったから。。。”と自分から説明する機会もないままのような事があります。端午の節句は英語で説明しようとするとTango　Festival とはいかず、旧暦との関連もありDragon Boat Festivalとなるようです。そこでDragonが鯉のぼりとそのたなびく光景とつながっていき合点がいきます。

Dragon Boat Festival is known as a holiday on May 5 th in Lunar calendar. In Japan, it has been May 5th in Solar calendar called as Kids Day( Tango-No-Sekku).  One of the tradition is to hoist a carp streamer as old story described Carps become Dragons by climbing up waterfalls.
